Turnip recipes

MASHED TURNIPS WITH CHEESE

2 large fresh white turnips

3 Tbs. butter

4 oz. Swiss cheese

Freshly milled black pepper

Peel and chop the turnips into cubes and boil in salted water for around 30 minutes or until tender. Drain and mash well. Grate Swiss cheese and add to the turnips with the butter. Salt and pepper to taste. Stir well until cheese has melted. Serve hot.
