DROP BISCUITS
Rumford Common Sense

2 c. flour
½ tsp. salt
4 tsp. Rumford baking powder
2 Tbs. shortening
About ¾ c. milk or milk and water mixed
Sift together flour, salt and baking powder; cut or rub in the shortening until the fat is thoroughly blended with flour, then mix to very soft dough with the liquid, having this as cold as possible. Drop by spoonfuls onto slightly greased baking pan and bake in a hot oven, 450 degrees F., 12-15 minutes.
