Church’s new cookbook is a treasure
In the book are listings of the projects this circle has been involved with during its lifetime, with Christian Fellowship leading the list. The very last item reads, "Some of our ministry involves cooking and we are sharing many of those wonderful recipes through this cookbook." This just about says it all.
Serving as cookbook committee chairman was Diane R. Davis. Anita Hamlin, vice chairman, and Carrie Bonniville, Kelly Hamlin and Faye R. Kellum were the other committee members. They found support from the whole circle.
The idea of a cookbook started about four years ago when Carrie Bonniville began collecting recipes from the members of the church, both past and present. When other things happened, a book didn’t materalize until 2011 when it was brought up again at a meeting. One committee member said, "When we want to do something we do it. We don’t fool around." This they truly practice. The book was formed and printed in less than five months and was offered for pre-sale on July 15.
