February 06 2013, 10:00 AMThe Central Village Homemakers will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Central United Methodist Church, Mathews. A social will begin at 9:30. The meeting is open to the public and new members are always welcome, a release said.

Music Club
February 14 2013, 10:30 AMThe next meeting of the Mathews Music Appreciation Club will be held Thursday, Feb. 14, at 10:30 a.m. at the Mathews Active Lifestyle Center. In anticipation of Valentine’s Day, a program of romantic music will be presented by members of Strings and Things—Melinda McKenzie (oboe), Baylor Towne (violin), and Nina Buzby (cello). The public is invited to attend.
