About a month before they march into Mathews High School to receive their diplomas, members of this year’s graduating class donned their caps and gowns to march through all three county schools. Students at Lee-Jackson Elementary, Thomas Hunter Middle and Mathews High lined the hallways as the soon-to-be grads walked through, receiving applause and high fives from the younger students. Here at Lee-Jackson, seniors Gracie West (in front) and Alexis Miles lead the procession, accompanied by school principal Drew Greve, as elementary school students cheer them on. MHS graduation will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 17. Photo by Charlie Koenig
