Proceeds from Tuesday’s upcoming Community Benefit Day at Jessica’s On Main will go to the Gloucester-Mathews Free Clinic.
Melissa Hartman, owner of the Gloucester Court House restaurant, will donate a quarter of the day’s receipts, from breakfast to dinner, to help the clinic in its mission to provide care for Gloucester’s uninsured and under-insured residents.
Upcoming Community Benefit Days recipients at Jessica’s on Main include Julia Allen, a woman with cystic fibrosis awaiting a double lung transplant (June 11); The Arc of the Virginia Peninsula/Lewis B. Puller Center (June 25); the restaurant’s Share a Meal Program, which provides free coffee, breakfast or lunch to those in need (July 9), and the Bread for Life Community Pantry (July 23).
Also next week, Courthouse Restaurant and Wild Rabbit Café will hold one-day promotions to raise money for the free clinic. Courthouse Restaurant will be raising money for the organization next Thursday, May 23, while Wild Rabbit will be giving a portion of their proceeds on Friday, May 24.
