Distinction, a special events hall at the White Marsh Shopping Center, recently opened a restaurant in a portion of its facility.
Donald Jaeger of Cobbs Creek, one of the owners, said they started the restaurant in mid-April. For now, they operate the restaurant only for Thursday dinner, but might expand to other days in the future.
The restaurant seats about 50 diners, Jaeger said, but there is plenty of space elsewhere in the facility to accommodate additional diners.
Jaeger said they will combine some regular menu items like burgers and sliders, with full meals featuring chicken parmigiana, crab cakes and a rotating selection of dishes.
Jaeger’s wife, Lynn, is the chef.
Distinction has applied for a state Alcoholic Beverage Control license so that it can serve all types of mixed drinks, beer and wine, Jaeger said. Also, they will soon have singing waiters and waitresses to serve at the restaurant and for special events.
