"Every Night’s a Party" is the theme for this year’s Gloucester’s Restaurant Week on Main, with eight days and nights of special food and live music scheduled from March 16-23.
Six restaurants will feature multi-course, fixed-price lunches and dinners, Irish meals for St. Patrick’s Day on March 16 and 17, and 11 music events ranging from jazz, opera, Celtic and acoustic favorites to electric blues. Participating restaurants are Bangkok Noi, Courthouse Restaurant, Jessica’s on Main, Olivia’s in the Village, Rosemary & Wine, and the Wild Rabbit Cafe. Other Gloucester restaurants will also be open and offering their regular menus and daily specials.
The week kicks off on Saturday, March 16, with Irish meals, acoustic music at several of the restaurants, and A Celtic Romp with Poisoned Dwarf at Gloucester Arts on Main. On Sunday, March 17, there’s a jazz brunch at Rosemary & Wine, as well as acoustic music at Bangkok Noi, Jessica’s on Main, Olivia’s in the Village, and the Wild Rabbit Cafe. On Friday, March 21, Lyric Opera Virginia presents An Evening with Romeo & Juliet at Gloucester Arts on Main and the week ends on March 23 with a Saturday Night Blues Blowout at Jessica’s on Main, featuring Planet Full of Blues.
