Cutt’n Up Salon and Day Spa, located at the Chesapeake Marine Training Institute Center at Hayes, is expanding its services and its staff.

Owner Jennifer Burgess said the salon recently added acrylic nail service. She plans to offer facials this fall, along with shellac nails, a gel nail technique.

Also, Burgess said she added a nail technician in July and another hair stylist in August. The new nail tech is Emily Boone of Wicomico. Boone has 30 years’ hair care experience and has 15 years’ nail care experience.

Besides specializing in nail care at Cutt’n Up, Boone said she also does provide some hair care services. Boone previously owned a salon in Pennsylvania and worked at several other salons there and in Gloucester.

Boone’s husband, Randy, works for Miss Utility in James City County. They have one daughter.
