Rosemary & Wine, a restaurant and wine shop, relocated to the South Bay Building on Main Street, Gloucester recently. The business previously operated from 17 Plaza, Ordinary, for three years.
"It’s been unbelievable," executive chef Arthur Britto of Gloucester said of the response for Rosemary & Wine at its new location. He said the regular customers are finding their way to the mid-county site, while he is seeing many new faces as well.
Britto said the top-selling menu item is fish and chips. Other popular dishes include the "three-generation pasta," featuring sausage and beans, and a selection of hand-cut steaks. Rosemary & Wine offers lunch and dinner specials every day.
The restaurant serves a seasonal menu, Britto said, trying to use fresh fish from a local purveyor, as well as top quality meats and chicken. Produce is featured, with selections varying with the seasons.
Soon, Britto plans to add upscale boxed lunches, along with cheeses, spreads and desserts to pick up for a quick meal or snack. Also, he plans to offer an upscale Sunday brunch beginning this fall. The restaurant currently is open Monday-Saturday.
