Point Auto Care, Inc., on Route 17 at Gloucester Point, opened for business on Aug. 1.

The building previously housed several other auto repair businesses, most recently Carl’s Truck & Auto Repair.

Tim Carter owns the new shop with his wife, Tracey. He oversees the mechanical end of the business, while she handles the books.

Carter said he offers all types of routine maintenance and repairs for cars and light trucks. Also, he offers state inspections for cars, light trucks and motorcycles.

Among services offered are oil changes, fixing flat tires, new tire sales, and brake, air conditioning and other vehicle repairs. Carter does do body work.

He operates the three-bay garage Monday-Friday, working full-time with one assistant. Early business has been good, he said.
