A program about ways to attract more businesses to Gloucester’s Main Street will be held from 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday at the Main Street Center Event Space.

Jenny Crittenden, executive director of Main Street Preservation Trust, said that the program is geared both for property owners on Main Street who want to fill vacant retail and office spaces, as well as for interested residents. Admission is free.

The program is part of MSPT’s initiative to attract and retain businesses on Main Street, Crittenden said. Rick Ferrell of Retail Market Answers in Wilmington, Del., will be the guest speaker.

On Aug. 16, approximately 50 people attended another MSPT workshop at the Main Street Center Event Space. Crittenden said that workshop, titled "Low Cost High Impact Marketing," was presented by Margie Johnson of Shop Talk in Virginia Beach.
