What began as a trucking and truck repair business more than 15 years ago has evolved into Love Repair, a multi-vehicle repair business on Route 14 about one mile west of Ward’s Corner in Mathews.

Owner Richard Love runs the business full-time, employing head mechanic Bruce Lambert of Dutton full-time, and Gilbert Coons of Mathews is a part-time shop helper.

Love said they added state inspection service—including inspection of trailers and RVs—last December; Love and Lambert are both certified as inspectors. Love Repair is currently exploring adding vehicle towing.

Among services offered at the two-bay shop are general repairs for all types of cars, light and heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, tractors, and RVs. Services include routine maintenance like oil changes, batteries, tires, brakes, air conditioner repair, engines and transmission. Love said they sell batteries and tires.

Love has based his business on Route 14 for about 15 years, switching to an all-repair operation more than eight years ago.
