Doodlebugs Consignment Shop recently relocated into larger quarters in Mathews Court House.

The new store, located on the first floor of the Halcyon Building at the corner of Main Street at Church Street, has more than 2,000 square feet filled with all types of consignment items. The former location, near the Mathews Visitor Center, had less than half the space, said Carrie Fraccasse, who owns the business with Valerie Kelly.

The larger quarters provides ample space for showcasing many more consignment items, Kelly said. Among items for sale are men’s and women’s clothing, accessories, glassware, gifts, jewelry, books, crafts, artwork, and antique and traditional furniture.

Many customers have been stopping in to browse and shop in the new store, which opened in mid-April, Fraccasse said, and they have seen more business from the higher-profile location of their new store.
