The Gloucester County Board of Zoning Appeals approved an application for a special exception during a meeting July 22 in the colonial courthouse.
The board voted 4-1 in favor of applicant Peter W.T. Maxwell, who sought a special exception to the Gloucester Zoning Ordinance for establishment of a home occupation. Maxwell was seeking permission to repair and clean firearms at his residence, 7316 Our Way Lane.
No public comment was allowed at the July 22 meeting, as a public hearing had already been held on the matter in June. Since only four members were in attendance then, the board decided to postpone its vote until the July meeting.
