Classic Reflections, a new shop located at 8303 Buckley Hall Road, Hudgins, will hold its grand opening Saturday.

Owner Elizabeth “Suzi” Friend of North, said that sweets and coffee will be served from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, with wine and cheese served to customers from 6-8 that night. She opened for business in mid-January.

She operates the business Wednesdays through Saturdays, and plans expanded days of operation this spring and summer.

The shop sells a wide assortment of goods. Friend sells some of her own painted furniture and home décor pieces. In addition, much of the front room is filled with consignment items. She has about 10 consignors, with room for more. The back room is used as vendor space, with about six vendors set up there and room for several more. A split is set for consignment items and a separate pricing arrangement is used for the vendors.

A recent trip to the store found an assortment of antique and vintage furniture and accessories. There are all types of home décor, with many of the settings having a nautical theme. “It’s all about the water in Mathews,” she said. Artwork abounds, as does jewelry.
