Animal Care of Gloucester, located on George Washington Memorial Highway at White Marsh, recently expanded its pet grooming component.
Groomer Terry Coates of Roanes is the full-time groomer. Dana Geyerhahn of Hayes recently began working part-time as a groomer.
Geyerhahn, who has worked at Animal Care of Gloucester for three years, previously was the pet bather—a position recently filled by Tiffany Honaker of Gloucester, a 2013 graduate of Gloucester High School who plans to work there and attend Thomas Nelson Community College.
Coates said she grooms dogs and cats, while Geyerhahn grooms only dogs for now. Cats are harder to groom, Coates said.
Besides working as a groomer, Geyerhahn also works part-time as a receptionist at Animal Care of Gloucester. She previously worked at a veterinary clinic in her native New York, a vet clinic on the Eastern Shore, and for a veterinary surgeon.
