Six Rivers Armory opened for business in mid-January at White Marsh Village, a shopping center located on George Washington Memorial Highway, White Marsh.

Randy Greene of Gloucester, owns the business with his wife, Lori. They operate the business full-time.

Mrs. Greene said the shop is named for the six rivers in Gloucester—the York, Severn, Ware, North, Piankatank and Poropotank. Her husband said they have been very busy in the first weeks in business, drawing customers from throughout Gloucester and nearby communities.

Handguns have been selling very well, Greene said, with a variety of major brands stocked, and long guns like shotguns and rifles.

Besides guns, they stock an assortment of ammunition, all types of gun accessories, protective gear, and goggles and safety glasses. Soon, they plan to add hunting rifles and supplies.

The store sells tasers, as well as pepper spray, and an assortment of knives. Special cleaning supplies for guns are sold as well.
