Oyster Cove Boatworks now offers engine services

Quinton Sheppard | Posted on Apr 06, 2011 - 01:34 PM Printer Friendly View

Oyster Cove Boatworks & Yacht Brokerage, White Marsh, has recently launched a full line of engine services. Owner Chris Leigh, a Gloucester Point native, said he began the sales side of the business in late 2009, and added to it now is a factory authorized warranty center. The brokerage can meet maintenance and repair needs on a number of engines including Yamaha, Mercury, Mercruiser, Suzuki, Honda and Evinrude.

The business offers a full line of Yamaha parts and accessories and provides mobile repair on request, as well as full service for Yamaha, Yamaha outboards, C-Hawk and Tide Water boats and skiffs.

The business also offers pick-up and delivery of parts, Leigh added, and can provide yacht service through Severn River Marina.

Leigh said he owes much of the success of the business to the five-person group he has working for him. "We’ve got a great team put together," he said.

Another side of his business is the boat brokerage. "I want to buy and sell boats with customers," Leigh said. "I will work as a buyer’s agent." He also sells used boats ranging from 13 to 200 feet.

The business also specializes in boat trailers. He sells Venture and Road King models and also offers a full parts store for boating accessories.
