Greg and Lori Dusenberry were ranked in the Top Ten “Best Innkeepers” category by a national online survey for operating The Inn at Tabbs Creek, Port Haywood. Photo by Bill Nachman.

The Inn at Tabbs Creek, located off Turpin Lane at Port Haywood, was on the list of "Top Ten Innkeepers" in the annual best of BedandBreakfast.com Awards, 2010-2011.

The awards, in the categories of Best Innkeepers, Best Inns and Best Food served at the inns, are based upon a qualitative and quantitative review of the nearly 50,000 independent reviews submitted to BedandBreakfast.com, the leading online bed and breakfast (B&B) and online reservation network.

Greg and Lori Dusenberry are owners/operators of The Inn at Tabbs Creek, which they decided to renovate after having renovated several of their residences. Greg, an experienced chef, works there full-time and is in charge of the family-style breakfasts served with treats such as crab quiche, or tomatoes and berries grown only yards from the guests’ rooms. Lori also works as training supervisor for a North Carolina-based greenhouse company.
