A groundbreaking for Courthouse Pediatrics was held Friday afternoon at the site of its new location, directly across Route 17 from Riverside Walter Reed Hospital. The practice, which is a part of Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, is currently located in Gloucester Court House, but is expected to move later this summer. The new facility will increase the number of exam rooms from 10 to 14, add a room dedicated to pulmonary function testing for asthma and respiratory illness, and include a dedicated consultation room where physicians or a lactation consultant can meet with parents in a more private setting. Shown, from left, are Debra Simpson, practice manager; Angela Robertson, director of physician services; Andy James, Ware District representative to the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors; Roberta James, member of the York River Circle of The King’s Daughters; Courthouse Pediatrics physicians Harriette Fishburne, Anne Howard and Kyung Lim Murphy and John Hamilton, CHKD vice president of physician management.
