Gloucester Sears store named a premier dealer

Bill Nachman | Posted on Apr 13, 2011 - 12:16 PM Printer Friendly View

The Sears store in Gloucester was recently named a Hometown Store Premier Dealer.

The new corporate award was one of only 190 Sears stores nationwide to receive the award, which local owner Jim Brinn said is based on outstanding customer service and charitable giving.

"We are part of the community," Brinn said, having donated to various local organizations such as Salvation Army, Laurel Shelter, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

As for customers, Brinn said that Sears brand loyalty has helped make the Gloucester operation in the Edgehill Shopping Center one of the top independent Sears stores in the district.

"We are thrilled to designate Jim Brinn and the Sears Hometown Store of Gloucester a Premier Dealer," said Will Powell, president of Sears Hometown Stores, a division of the parent Sears, Inc. The award recognizes the local store’s "hard work and dedication," Powell said, as well as its efforts to support the community.
