Sweet Frog, a new frozen yogurt shop, opened for business on July 8 in Gloucester’s Fox Mill Center.

Owner Grace Yoo of Williamsburg, runs the store full-time, assisted by her 10 part-time employees.

Sweet Frog is a Richmond-based chain of about 20 stores throughout Virginia and North Carolina. This is Yoo’s first Sweet Frog store.

Yoo said that business has been booming in its first days of operation. Fourteen flavors of frozen non-fat yogurt are offered each day, with the selection rotating amongst many flavors. Each day there is a non-dairy selection and a sugar-free choice, she said.

Top-selling flavors of frozen yogurt have included cake batter, cookies and cream, and chocolate, Yoo said. Customers can select from three cup sizes, paying by the ounce.

Customers wanting a little bit extra can choose from about 60 different toppings including all types of fresh fruit, candy, nuts and syrups.
