Friedrich named director of Sentara Medical Arts Building

Bill Nachman | Posted on Feb 15, 2012 - 11:14 AM Printer Friendly View
Steve Friedrich has been appointed director of operations for the Sentara Medical Arts Building at White Marsh. Friedrich is in charge of managing the large Medical Arts facility as well as helping expand some of the services Sentara will offer there and possibly at other Middle Peninsula locations in the future. A big emphasis for Friedrich, he said, is to raise the community’s health awareness. To that end, he said Sentara plans to offer more health education programs, such as a recent series on diabetes education. Friedrich said Sentara wants to work closely with local non-profits involved with health issues, such as the Gloucester-Mathews Free Clinic. Also, he said he will work to attract more health care professionals to the Medical Arts facility to expand the many services already offered there. Some physicians may want full-time office space here, he said, while the facility also has two medical suites that are shared by an assortment of doctors such as ear/nose/throat, allergy and other specialties.
