Farmers’ market returns to Brent and Becky’s Bulbs

The Bulb Shoppe and Gardens at Brent and Becky’s Bulbs on Daffodil Lane in Gloucester will host its next monthly farmers’ market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
 
The market, which is held under cover, will feature fresh eggs, beaded jewelry, locally harvested honey, plants and other produce. The monthly markets are held the first Saturday of the month through November. If you are interested in being a vendor, contact Denise Hutchins at 693-3966 x109 or denise@brentandbeckysbulbs.com.
 
Also on Saturday, Brent and Becky’s Bulbs will be celebrating National Honey Bee Day a bit early. The market will include honey refreshments, children’s activities and a live honeybee demonstration hive from the Colonial Beekeepers Association.
 
In other news, Brent and Becky’s will host the Virginia Wine Society’s “Wine in the Garden Series” with wine educators Charles Birr and William Bright on Saturday, Aug. 11, starting at 2:30 p.m. The Aug. 11 program is “Seeing Stars in the Garden: Inexpensive Sparkling Wines and Champagne.”
