Business owners to meet about sign ordinance
Local business owners are invited to Lockwood’s Carpets at 7 p.m. next Thursday, June 2, to review the draft of Gloucester County’s proposed revisions to its sign ordinance. A public hearing on the sign ordinance is scheduled for the June 7 meeting of the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors.
Debby Lockwood, who owns Lockwood’s Carpets with her husband Jim, said she is concerned about some of the changes that are proposed in the ordinance and wanted to give business owners the opportunity to get together to better understand the proposals prior to the public hearing.
The supervisors met with members of the Gloucester Planning Commission last Tuesday night to discuss the changes and voted 4-2 to send the proposed changes to public hearing.
