Brent and Becky’s Bulbs, located at Flat Iron off Route 14, is about to bloom for the 2012 season. The Bulb Shoppe and Gardens reopened Feb. 1. A Valentine’s Open House will be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11. Denise Hutchins, Bulb Shoppe manager and the company’s education and marketing specialist, said the open house will feature flower arrangements and potted bulbs. The open house will also show off the many new items in the shop including bird feeders and artwork, clothing and jewelry by local artists. Hutchins said that custom arrangements can be preordered and there will be cut flowers for sale. There are 15 gardens on the property, she said, with the catalog garden near the shop showcasing all flowers shown in the company’s catalogs.
